Description
Soap dish olive wood square This is what olive wood should really look like, very finely grained and somehow always tempting to touch.
Using olive wood as a soap dish is a good idea, especially in view of the gravity that prevails everywhere, as the wood does not break as soon as it falls onto the tiles. Nor, incidentally, if the tray comes to visit. Our bowls are designed with water drainage, so your soap won't get bogged down. The wood can also resist water for longer and, you have to admit, olive wood can do this really well. It grows extremely slowly and is therefore very dense. One more thing about wood: it is and remains a natural material, so it can continue to change over the years - and sometimes crack. Our olive wood shelves are not chemically washed to death after processing and can, depending on the wood, “bleed” - so there may be brown streaks due to the washing out of the wood over a period of time that we cannot predict. Anyone who has used olive wood in its natural state will be familiar with this. It is important to us that both the wood and the people who work it come from Europe. The soap dishes are oiled for you after sanding. It looks nicer.
Here is our medium size (please note that this is sufficient for soaps weighing 100g) of the shelves in the following approximate dimensions:
